I am a medical editor and writer who specializes in ophthalmology. I provide comprehensive medical writing and editing services to institutes, universities, professional associations and societies, industry, pharmaceutical companies, marketing agencies, medical practices, and clinician-scientists worldwide.
Please e-mail me to discuss your writing or editing needs.
I came to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1991 as assistant to the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Cellular Biochemistry. I became managing editor of the American Journal of Ophthalmology in 1993 under Editor-in-Chief Bradley R. Straatsma, MD, JD, founding chair of the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology and founding director of the UCLA Stein Eye Institute. I founded Eye Cite Editing in 2008, and along with providing writing and editing services to a wide array of clients, I worked with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and served as communications consultant for the International Council of Ophthalmology writing content for their monthly newsletters, educational curricula, and scientific articles. I have been the managing editor of publications for the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology and the Stein Eye Institute since 2012.
Combining my scientific writing and editing background with my clinical knowledge of ophthalmology, I founded Eye Cite Editing to focus my full attention on ophthalmology, a field I respect so highly, performing a craft I thoroughly love. I proudly count medical leaders throughout the world as my clients.
